New pubs and bars set to open soon in London

15/10/2020 On this page find out about new pubs and bars set to open soon in London

We try our best to keep you up to date on what is happening on the London bar and pub scene with the future openings due in September and October. We have found for you the following venues which we think will satisfy your favorite drinking habits and desires.

As well, we would like to provide the most accurate information about the places of recommendation, but due to the COVID-19, we kindly ask you to double-check with the venue if they are open or not.

163 Upper Street

The first place we present to you is a wine bar that is set to open on the 1st of October 2020 is called 163 Upper Street. It is located in Islington and has the challenging ambition to be a wine bar with a small kitchen, serving up a wide selection of wines and food designed to accompany them. The team behind the new opening is Jay Turner and chef Oliver Beetlestone which have recently opened The Wine Cellar on Highgate's Swain's Lane. They will try to seduce the wine lovers and all residents around with an extensive choice of wines which will be split between matured and new ranging from £14 up to over £100 with a few natural wines thrown into the wine list. Chef Oliver will be serving food ranging from bar snacks like home-made scotch eggs and Hasselback potatoes along with small plates such as beef tartare or burrata with black truffle. Don't worry, for the guests which would like to have a cocktail or beer there will be eight beers on tap along with a classic and seasonal cocktail list.

Bisushima

Next recommendation is a Japanese rooftop bar & restaurant situated at 8 St Martin's Place in The Page8 Hotel called Bisushima. The place will have a magnificent view over Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden with two massive roof terraces, expected to open in October. The opening of the "affordable luxury" hotel was quite unfortunate as it was shortly before the lockdown, but now all going to be functional. Sergey Men is the man behind the venue, which is owning as well the World's End Market on the King's Road. The plan is to have a high-end bar in one of the terraces and the other one to be a modern and contemporary restaurant, all influenced by the Japanese culture. It will be definitely a place worth visiting.

Camden Town Brewery

The next place is designed to be the beer paradise located 55-59 Wilkin Street Mews in Kentish Town of the Camden Town Brewery set to open in Autumn 2020. It is a re-opening under the railway arches which celebrates the establishment of the brewery in 2010. The place has a newly revamped space that houses not just their award-winning beers, but a new 50-seater restaurant, extended taproom and immersive brewery tours. There will be as well as outdoor drinking and dining area and includes space for merchandise. The food menu is still a mystery, but without a doubt, it will be fresh and locally sourced with a modern twist and will have some vegan offerings. We don't have the patience to check out the place and to have a refreshing Hells Lager, Pale Ale or some of the seasonal brews.

The Gantry

The next recommendation will be a stunning sky bar on the top of The Gantry London hotel, which is part of the Curio Collection, a Hilton offshoot, that also includes The Trafalgar and Lincoln Plaza. The hotel itself is 18 floors and will be one of London's hotel stars, but the sky bar will be the big draw for East London residents. The opening is scheduled for the early Spring.

Nobu Bar

The next opening is the international award-winning Nobu Hotels in London in November located on 22 Portman Square, Marylebone. The concept of all Nobu venues is a blend of modern, cool luxury and minimal Japanese tradition. The Nobu Hotel is founded by the award-winning Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper. It's their second London hotel along with two other restaurants after the first hotel opened in Shoreditch. The Nobu Bar will be the one to watch with timeless design, elegance and contemporary luxury. The drinks menu will consist of classic cocktails with a local Nobu Bar twist.  It will be a perfect place to relax with friends over drinks on the terrace in comfort and elegance.

We hope that the selection is of all places is satisfactory, and wishing to all the new openings in London big success, full premises and happy guests.

4th Annual London Wine Competition is now open. The wine industry is collectively looking to plan for 2021 and The London Wine Competition hopes to provide a platform to help producers and importers not just assess their wines, but crucially go on to promote them.
