For the smoky version "St. Kilian Peated - rich & smoky" heavily peated barley malt from the Scottish Highlands with a phenol content of 54 ppm was used. The single malt whisky is composed of 70% from various ex-bourbon casks and 30% from Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. The result is a single malt that has a rich intensity of grilled apricots, creamy toffee and subtle oak spice, wrapped in warming peat smoke.
