Taking up the knowledge on how to run a business from his father, Syrian businessman Nawaf Salameh founded Alexandrion Group Romania in 1994 on the back of a deal with a Cretan manufacturer. The journey started with two drinks, Alexandrion and Kreskova, and today sits at over 20 products, including vodka, gin, brandy and liqueurs. 

2021 saw Alexandrion Group Romania’s spirits win a whopping nine medals at the London Spirits Competition. Alexandrion Group Romania brought their spirits to the European shore to showcase their brands in the global wine and spirits industry, the win at the 2021 London Spirits Competition brought their brand to the notice of the right people of the UK drinks industry. While all of these spirits can be sipped over ice or neat, they make for amazing additions to some sumptuous cocktails. 

The best thing is these cocktails can be stirred at any given time within your home! Here’s the list of cocktails from Alexandrion Group Romania. 

Kreskova Sunrise

Ingredients:

• 5 cl Kreskova Vodka
• 15 cl orange juice
• 1.5 cl grenadine syrup
• Orange slice for garnish

Glass: Rock glass

Method: 

Fill ¾ of the glass with ice, add the ingredients, stir a little and decorate with 1 orange slice.

Kreskova Lemon Margarita

Ingredients:

• 5 cl Kreskova Lemon Vodka
• 3 cl triple sec liqueur
• 2 cl fresh lime juice
• Top tonic water
• Coconut flakes for garnish

Glass: Margarita glass

Method: 

Fill the shaker with ice, put all ingredients in the shaker filled, shake and strain into the glass.

Kreskova Mint & Kiwi

Ingredients:

• 5 cl Kreskova Vodka
• 2 cl mint syrup
• 5 cl fresh lemon juice
• Top bitter lemon
• Mint and kiwis for garnish

Glass: Highball glass/ cup

Method: 

Fill ¾ of the glass with ice, add the ingredients, stir a little and decorate with 1 fresh mint spring.

Kreskova Gingerella

Ingredients:

• 5cl Kreskova Vodka
• 2cl Winter Spices Syrup
• 2cl Strawberry Liqueur
• 2.5cl Fresh lime juice
• Fresh Ginger, chilly
• Green leaves and lime peel for garnish

Glass: Stylish Old Fashion

Method: 

Muddle 1 small piece of fresh ginger alongside 2 small pieces of red chilli. Add the rest of the ingredients & shake. Fine strain over ice cubes or spheres.

Kreskova Citrus Lust

Ingredients:

• 5 cl Kreskova Vodka
• 3 cl Yuzu liqueur
• 2 cl Bergamot syrup
• 2 cl fresh Lime juice
• 1 dash Lemon bitters
• Elderflower tonic Top-up
• Cherry and green leaves for garnish

Glass: Balloon or nice wine glass

Method: 

Get all the ingredients together. Shake & top them up and the Kreskova Citrus Lust is ready to serve. 

Kreskova Mojito

Ingredients:

• 5 cl Kreskova Vodka
• Fresh mint
• 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
• 1.5cl lime juice
• Top sparkling water
• Lime slice and blueberries for garnish

Glass: Highball glass/ cup

Method: 

Muddle the fresh mint with the brown sugar, fill ¾ of the glass with ice, add the ingredients, stir a little and decorate with lime slices and blueberries.

Alexandrion Passion

Ingredients:

• 50 ml Alexandrion 5*
• 40 ml orange juice
• 15 ml fresh lemon juice 
• 20 ml passion fruit puree
• Basil
• Top sparkling water

Glass: Rock Glass

Method:

Put all ingredients in the shaker, including one-two basil leaves and shake. Fill three-quarters of the glass with ice (fine strain), top with sparkling water. Stir a little and decorate with a basil sprig.

Alexandrion Metropolitan

Ingredients:

• 50 ml Alexandrion 5*
• 20 ml sweet vermouth
• 10 ml sugar syrup
• 1-2 dashes of angostura bitters 

Glass: Martini

Method:

Put all ingredients in the shaker filled with ice. Chill the glass with some ice. Shake & fine strain. Decorate with lemon peel.

Alexandrion Sidecar

Ingredients:

• 60 ml Alexandrion 7*
• 40 ml orange liqueur
• 40 ml lemon juice

Glass: Coupe

Method:

Coat the rim of a coupe glass with sugar. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

Saber Elyzia Sour

Ingredients:

• 50 ml Saber Elyzia Black Cherries 
• 30 ml Saber Elyzia fresh lemon juice 
• 10 ml Sugar Syrup 
• 2 dashes of cherry bitter
• Candied cherries for garnish

Method:

Fill the glass with ice, pour Saber Elyzia Black Cherries liqueur, then the rest of the ingredients and stir. Garnish the drink with an amarena cherry.

Saber Elyzia Dry Tonic

Ingredients:

• 60 ml Saber Elyzia Sour Cherries 
• 120 ml Elderflower Tonic Water 
• Ice cubes
• Sour cherries and fresh mint for garnish

Method:

Fill ¾ of a tumbler glass with ice, pour Saber Elyzia Sour Cherry liqueur, then the rest of the ingredients and stir. Garnish the drink with sour cherries and fresh mint.

Saber Elyzia Cherry Soda

Ingredients:

• 60 ml Saber Elyzia Sour Cherries 
• 20 ml Vodka 
• 20 ml Lemon juice 
• 5 ml Sugar syrup 
• Ice cubes
• Slice of lime for garnish

Method:

In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the Saber Elyzia Sour Cherries liqueur, the vodka, the fresh lemon juice and the sugar syrup. Shake it until well-chilled, then strain into a tall glass with fresh ice cubes. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Saber Elyzia Sweet Apricot

Ingredients:

• 60 ml Saber Elyzia Apricot 
• 20 ml Vodka 
• 15 ml Lemon juice 
• 5 ml Sugar syrup 
• 120 ml Premium tonic water 
• Rosemary sprig and a fresh apricot slice

Method: 

Fill ¾ of a tumbler glass with ice, pour Saber Elyzia Apricot liqueur, then the rest of the ingredients and stir. Garnish the drink with a rosemary sprig and a fresh apricot slice.

Saber Elyzia Apricot Spritz

• 20 ml Sparkling wine 
• 120 ml Sparkling water
• Rosemary sprig

Method: 

Fill ¾ of a tumbler glass with ice, pour Saber Elyzia Apricot liqueur, then the rest of the ingredients and stir. Garnish the drink with a rosemary sprig.

Brâncoveanu Fizz

Ingredients:

• 40 ml Brâncoveanu VS 
• 20 ml lime juice
• 10 ml sugar syrup
• 150 ml ginger beer
• Ice cubes

Method: 

Fill the glass with ice, pour 40 ml of Brâncoveanu VS, then the rest of the ingredients and stir. Garnish the drink with an orange twist.

Brâncoveanu The Brave

Ingredients:

• 50 ml Brâncoveanu VS
• 20 ml fresh lime juice
• 15 ml honey runny
• 150 ml ginger beer

Method:

Fill the glass with ice cubes. Put all ingredients in the shaker and mix energetically, pour the mix in the glass and add the ginger beer. Garnish with a dried orange wedge and red pepper seeds.

Brâncoveanu "26"

• 50 ml Brâncoveanu VS
• 30 ml Passion Fruit Syrup
• 20 ml Lemon Juice 
• Orange Zest & cherry for garnish 

Method: 

Pour 50 ml of Brâncoveanu VS in a shaker. Squeeze half a lemon. Add ice to the shaker and shake. Strain the cocktail in a chilled rocks glass filled with ice cubes. Carefully pour Passion Fruit syrup and garnish with orange zest and a cherry.

• 50 ml Brâncoveanu VS 
• 120 ml Premium Tonic water
• Ice cubes
• Large lemon or orange twist for garnish

Method: 

Fill the glass with ice cubes, pour Brâncoveanu VS, the tonic water and stir. Garnish with a large lemon or orange twist.

An idea that started in 1991, Alexandrion Group Romania has grown in stature almost every year. Their result at the 2021 London Spirits Competition has shown how well the brand has progressed over its lifespan and we will continue hearing more of this in the future as well.
