We are trying to find for you the latest openings of bars and pubs in London. Many of the venues have reopened, but there are some completely new openings. Although the London bar and pub scene has changed tremendously for the past half-year there are still some world-class establishments opening doors.
Just to let you know that we are working hard to be accurate in this difficult year, so please check that the establishments remain open before you go.
The first recommendation is a cocktail bar in Camden with the simple slogan "friendly neighborhood cocktail bar". It is a very recent opening with great attention to detail and the proper hearted hospitality. The Crossroads Bar offers signature cocktails to die for like the Black Cardinal made with Gin, Lapsang Souchong, Campari, and Smoky Negroni. Crossroads bar is creating cocktails using home-made and locally sourced ingredients, like black pepper shrubs, whisky infused with cherries, and bay leaf cordial. Not to be missed are the wines that are focusing on small, independent, and terroir-driven producers. The selection of the rest of the drinks is small but fine with carefully selected products.

Silo X Wine Bar
The next suggestion is a contemporary and sustainable wine bar & restaurant located in The White Building at Crate in Hackney Wick. The place is called Silo X Wine Bar with the main power behind the wheel as a chef and founder Douglas McMaster. His idea is to develop and new menu and drinks offering while continuing to trade directly with farmers and suppliers to achieve its most important goal creating excellence with zero-waste. The wine list is extensive and very carefully chosen accordingly to the venue's approach to sustainability and naturalism with small and artisanal producers with unique wines from all over Europe. There is an amazing cocktail list as well created by the award-winning bartender and long-time collaborator Ryan Chetiyawardana will bring upon spirits sourced from Copenhagen's craft Empirical Spirits. The food menu will consist of small plates and snacks like Silo's "Siloaf" and aged butter, Koji quavers, and dip, and a soy egg with lava salt. More substantial dishes include its 'Hot 4 U' spring onion pancake, green pea naan with roasted tomato dip, and grilled flatbread with smoked aubergine and smoked pork bun. Immensely creative and smart food packed with flavor. A must-visit wine bar.

The next place is something between a cocktail lounge bar and a French bistro called Jolie, made by the hospitality group Lollipop. They have opened it at the beginning of September, and the venue is located in the three-story Chelsea Funhouse where some of Lollipop's other establishments can be found, including The Bletchley and Espresso Martini bar, Chelsea Black. The highlight of the place is definitely the cocktails inspired by the smells and scents of different regions in France. Try the fruity and refreshing signature cocktail Honfleur based on Calvados from Normandy with edible and unusual garnish; a peach with grapefruit and apple. The design is very stylish and French with great attention to detail and the materials used, and the guests sit side by side to enjoy their drinks and food like in the French café culture. The food is completely influenced by French cuisine with suggestions like the Smoked duck breast, Lyonnais potatoes, and mustard sauce or the Moules Mariniere & fries. The music is inspired by the Hotel Costes in Paris and the Côte d'Azur atmosphere. Overall it is a great place to be with friends and to have fun in a French stylish way.

The last recommendation is a truly amazing wine bar and brasserie in London's St James, founded by François O’Neill, head chef Matthew Ryle and Ed Wyand heading up the front of the house. It has been launched on the 15th of September called Maison François. The place will revolve around the great concept of a French brasserie where the food is simple and seasonal with relaxed service and a great wine list. The place has two floors, one designated for the brasserie and the other which is logically downstairs for the wine bar. At Maison François will be poured magnum wines by the glass, as well as sherry directly from the cask, and more than 250 wines on the wine list with exquisite vintages. Enjoy classical French tasty cuisine in the face of ratatouille, poulet rôti avec fines herbes, and many more. The food menu in the wine bar offers up rustic sharing plates of cold meats and terrines, perfect for the extensive wines by the glass list. The interior is equally traditional with art-deco chandeliers suspended from the 20ft-high ceilings, mirrored arches, and white drapery. If you are a wine lover and fan of French traditions, this is the perfect spot for you.
